Randoms I forgot to post!

I uploaded these pics a while back and totally just found them in my drafts folder and forgot to post them!

I got to go out to the only steakhouse in our city with some ladies a couple of weeks ago.  It is ALWAYS a treat to go here!

After 8 weeks, my curtain finally arrived.  It had to be imported from Spain.  (I had no idea that it would have to be imported until I had picked it out and was placing my order.)

These sweet boy keeps me on my toes!

This is my happy place…my go to place to rest, read, study, or just drink coffee. ;)

Us girls got our first haircut/color in city.  It was interesting and I am thankful for our friend that went with us to help translate!  This was also Lucy's first ever hair cut in a salon!

Lucy's first ever hair cut by someone other than me or my mom…she was NOT happy that a "boy" was cutting her hair ha!

Thanks Gul for the help today!  You are such a great friend!

We love package days!!!!!  Thank you Uncle Kenny and Aunt Carol!!!!

We got 2 in one day (which makes 3 in a week!)…the kids were super pumped! And me too!

Wow you guys are totally blessing our socks off!!!!

We also got a package from Lolli and Uncle Matt.  The kids were so excited to get some clothes and special treats!

And daddy was excited about BACON!!!!!

These two are too much alike!

Movie night stash!

His soccer ball popped so he got creative and was wearing it like a hat ha!  He looks like Super Mario Brothers!

Picnic Kid's Day

In our country today is a National Holiday celebrating children!  We don't really understand it all other than the kids get out of school for 2 days which none of us mind a bit!  We will take it!!!

We planned a picnic with our language teacher Gul and her mom…they are SERIOUS about their picnics here and are seriously pros!  We enjoyed getting to experience it like a national.  The kids certainly didn't mind being out of school and getting to play at a playground all day and we enjoyed chatting and getting to try some local foods that we haven't tried yet.

This is one kind of kofte, it is so good!

Our language teacher and friend, Gul, who is sporting some VERY hot peppers...

The mangal grill….

We had some REALLY delicious foods!  Seriously there is only one thing that I have tried here that I don't like.  Almost everything I have eaten has been delicious!

Two local foods, both some of my favorites are kofte and sarma…YUM!  Karis seriously loved the sarma so much that she ended up sneaking them away half the day and then ate the leftovers again for dinner.  They are so good!

This is Gul and her mom...

The crew (Jay was taking the picture)...

Our kids LOVE Gul!

One of Lucy's favorite things of the day was this fountain right next to our pavilion, she loved getting to fill up bottles and cups all day.

The nationals all bring their own grills and everyone grills on these little ones and you NEVER forget the chai!

Every kids' dream and every parent's worst nightmare….

The nationals will picnic ANYWHERE.  Seriously any patch of grass is good for picnicking.

Even the little guys a pro….

We met these ladies who graciously let us watch their crocheting.  They are so fast!

Picture compliments of Lucy ha!

Wonderful day!  I don't think I have ever picnicked for 7 hours but when we left the nationals were still going strong.  We want to do it again very soon!
