EMBER 2020

Ember 2020 is here!  We have been looking forward to this week for an entire year!  

Karis and Brayden both went to Ember and we hosted the senior girls in our home.  It was an exciting, exhausting weekend!  It is always one of our favorites!

Little Women Movie 2020

The movie was great...and I  think I am the only one that hasn't seen the original one yet ha!  I guess I should see it!

New Years Eve 2020!!!

We had a great time hanging out with friends for New Years Eve!  We played lots of games (mainly to stay awake ha) and ate lots of food.  Love our village!

And while we were partying at the Luces', Karis was partying it up with her friends at a sleepover!  So thankful for these friends for her!

My word she looked beautiful!  She was so excited about this dance...however it didn't end like we thought it would.  She had to leave an hour into the dance due to a migraine!  She was pitiful and so upset she couldn't stay!

Halloween 2019

Karis and Pop's bday!

This sweet girl turns 15 today!!!!  I took her to Chick-fil-a for breakfast before school today and just can't believe she is this old!

For her birthday, she chose to forego a party and just bring her best friend with her to the soccer tournament in Little Rock! They had their own hotel room and had a blast!

We enjoyed fireworks at Buckhead before the 4th and went to Nonnie and Pop-Pop's for the 4th!  Great memories!

Our friend Marianna in the Wizard of Oz!

Our friend Marianna was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and we got to go see her do an amazing job!  It was so fun seeing her on stage!  Afterwards we went and got ice cream!  I also got to see some of my cousins there that I haven't seen in a while so that was fun!

Karis first high school visit!

Tonight we got to go preview the 9th Grade Academy where Karis will be going for her first year of high school.  She was nervous but loved it!

New Year's Eve 2018....

We had a blast ringing in the New Year 2019 with some of our closest friends!  We ate all night, played lots of games, laughed a ton, watched the ball drop in NYC and counted down to 2019!

This year was a little bittersweet because this is the first year Karis spent the New Year with her friends.  We knew the day would come and it is a bittersweet day.  When we moved home we knew this time in her life was very pivotal and we prayed so hard for her to meet some close friends.  And the LORD has been so faithful to us.  Not only did she meet one really good friend (which is really what we prayed for), but he gave her so many more than we expected.  These girls have been such a blessing in her life and other than us, there is no other people we would rather her ring in the New Year with.  We missed her so much but are so grateful for how things have progressed over the past year!

So thankful Karis has these girls in her life.  She had no idea what she was missing a year ago, but Jay and I prayed hard that this would happen.   Now she has the bestest of friends we could have ever imagined.  Blessing overflow!

I have loved having these girls in my small group this year and truly treasured seeing them  grow spiritually and do things they never thought possible.  God is so good!
