Quarantine Week 5

This week has seemed long but our spirits are still staying strong.  We are trying to make the best of it, doing our online learning and enjoying the pretty sunshine outside.  We have made it a routine to take a family walk every afternoon and that gives us something to keep our spirits up and our time together sweet.

Well we are surviving and still trying to make the best of this situation.  We are finding good in every day and enjoying our time together!

Quarantine Week 3

This week has consisted of lots of cooking, baking, exercise, home church, power washing, pranks (April Fools), bonfires, outside time and games!

The kids also started their online school this week!  It has been much easier than we thought it would be and they are finishing within 1-2 hours each day.

Quarantine Week 2

Well this is our second week of quarantine but the first week at our house so we had lots we could do!  The girls made chalk art, we played tennis, games, banana bread and cupcakes, cleaned out, completed a puzzle, and celebrated Uncle Allen's birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday Duke!

We are thrilled to celebrate our Duke today on turning ONE!  

We didn't get him until he was about 3 months old and 3 lbs. but he was born on January 5, 2018.  We never knew that a sweet first pup like Duke could change the dynamic of our home.  We were happy before him, but now we can't imagine life without him.  He has brought so much joy to our family and the kids absolutely adore him!  We were skeptical that the kids would help take care of him, but they have completely surprised us.  They are great with him and help take care of him every day.

Christmas Break

We have so enjoyed Christmas break with no school!  We have had so many lazy days, drank endless coffee and hot chocolate, eaten lots of yummy stuff, slept late, watched many movies and no homework. It has been sooooo good and we don't want it to end!

Christmas Day 2018

It's Christmas Day and our Savior is born!  So much anticipation for this day and it is finally here!  One of my favorite days of the year!!!!!

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

1st day of school

Well for the first time in 5 years, the kids are going to public school.  We are all a little (a lot) nervous about it but feel like it is the best thing for now.  We have lots of mixed emotions including excitement, fear, nervousness, anticipation, etc. and ready to do it!  We spent weeks getting everything ready from school supplies to backpacks to the perfect outfit and shoes and the day has finally arrived.  All woke up excited and ready to go!  We did drop off first at Karis and Brayden's school then to Lucy's.  We even got through it without any tears (although mom did tear up a bit).  I long for them to succeed, love it, have friends and a fun experience, and learn a lot.  I prayed for them all day and couldn't wait to pick them up!

Duke is almost 5 months old (will be on June 5th) and he went today for his first grooming experience.  We were ready to be able to see his eyes again!

A few days at the lake

My cousin has a lake house and offered it to us for a few days to get away.  After traveling the world, it is hard for us to stay still and not travel even for little day visits.  We had a blast just relaxing, going on hikes, fishing, riding the golf cart, and enjoying nature.
