Old friends and new friends

We are getting used to a new city and making new friends while we are missing some of our old friends in our new city.  However life goes on and we are making the best out of it!

Lucy lost her first top tooth and looking adorable and toofless!

Celebration with my big girl celebrating the little achievements of living overseas...

We went back to k-town for some sad circumstances but got to see some old friends while there.  It was a sweet reunion!

While there we got to meet a friends' new baby and everybody got a chance to hold sweet Nico!

My helper in the kitchen….

Chai with some new friends….

Lucy had saved up for this for weeks and finally had enough money to buy it.

A new Starbucks opened in town…cause for celebration!!!!

Waiting for our Lu girl to get out of school...

We also had some friends from out of town come visit…great to see "family!"

The kids spoiled him rotten!

A dear friend brought me these from her nearby city…I was soooo excited.  It definitely helps with culture shock days!

Saying Goodbye and looking ahead

Saying goodbye isn't easy especially when saying goodbye to these sweet people.  This was the week before we left but the last time we would see our best friends because they were going out of town the next morning.  We will miss them so much!

July

The month of July was a whirlwind!  We were out of town a lot at several different meetings and then not long after we were visiting our new city looking for houses (more to come on that later).  We were saying some hard goodbyes which made it an emotional month too.

Our sweet landlord on the right (and her sister on the left) that took us in like family those last few weeks.

Our buddy Nil :)

Love this dear friend!!!!  She has become my closest national buddy since we have been here and I will miss her terribly.  This is a gift she gave me for my birthday.

Leaving on a plane to go on one of our meetings.  The kids were really excited that they got to ride an airplane again!

This was a wonderful getaway for a week!

We got to have sushi too (that we didn't have to make!) so we were pumped about that!

We got quite a few treats from America which was AWESOME!  This is the first time I have had a Dr. Pepper since we were in America.  It was just as good as I thought it would be.

At the hotel we had to wear these lovely swim caps…gorgeous huh?

At least I had a treat while studying!

Making cinnamon rolls with my friend...
