The Church of Laodiceia

We recently toured the seven fellowships that are in the book of Revelation and it was amazing.  The history that are in these places is unbelievable.  We loved reading and studying up on them before and after we visited and the fact that they are still in such great shape is incredible.  The detail of some of the buildings (knowing they are thousands of years old) is breathtaking.  Come visit with us!

This was the first of the 7 that we visited and it was stunning!

Pamukhale, a natural spring, and Laodiceia

Today we went to several really cool places within a couple of hours drive from our house.  It was a day full of fun!
This is a place translated "cotton".  It is a natural hot spring and is BEAUTIFUL!  The kids and I took off our shoes and waded in it for hours.

We also toured several Biblical sites and one of the 7 churches.  It was amazing.

This is a tomb that was recently discovered that was one of Jesus' disciples.

I think we counted 9 brides we saw that day.  Lucy got her picture taken with at least two...

And this is an unexcavated Biblical site called Colossae, where the book of Colossians was written to.

From the top Jay read to them from scripture what actually took place in this relative location.  It was really special.  The kids probably won't truly appreciate it until they are older and realize the benefit of living on this side of the world.
