Easter 2020

Easter this year was unlike any of us have every experienced!  I have never (not) gone to church on Easter Sunday in 40 years but today we had church at home in our pjs.  I enjoyed the slower easter without the worry of outfits and perfect pictures and the chaos that always accompany it.  But it was a GOOD day celebrating that Jesus is alive!!!

Faith loves Baptist East Hospital

Tonight our church showed our appreciation for the doctors and nurses that are on the frontlines of this pandemic with signs, songs and a prayer time.  It was sweet and I got emotional thinking about all the stress and sacrifice that they have endured over the past month.  So thankful for them!

Seder meal 2020

We had a blast observing our 3rd Seder Meal!  This year we observed along side our church.  PDF instructions can be found here and here.

Quarantine Week 3

This week has consisted of lots of cooking, baking, exercise, home church, power washing, pranks (April Fools), bonfires, outside time and games!

The kids also started their online school this week!  It has been much easier than we thought it would be and they are finishing within 1-2 hours each day.

Marriage Retreat

Jay and I got the privilege of going to a Marriage Retreat for a few days and Nonnie came to stay with the kids.  We are so thankful and it was definitely a fun, relaxing weekend!  I love my man and thankful for this time together!

Friday, they gave us some money to go and enjoy the weekend out enjoying the city.  We got to go to an escape room for the first time.  It was so much fun and can't wait to go again!

EMBER 2020

Ember 2020 is here!  We have been looking forward to this week for an entire year!  

Karis and Brayden both went to Ember and we hosted the senior girls in our home.  It was an exciting, exhausting weekend!  It is always one of our favorites!

Kids camp 2K19

Kids Camp was a blast for all 4 of us!  Karis and Brayden helped in groups and Lucy attended as a camper!

We had a great week serving among the community!  Although some places can't be named for privacy, the people we encountered have made a lasting impact!

What an exciting night ha!  I was TERRIBLE at ax throwing but its ok because I don't think I will ever making a living doing it ha!  But it was fun hanging out with Jay and our connection class!

Lucy was in a musical at church tonight that she has been preparing for for months!  It was so cute and she enjoyed it!

Ember 2K19

Ember is Karis' favorite youth event because last year it is where she met so many of the close friends she still has today.  Brayden was very excited about his first ever Ember.  I got to help out some and enjoyed getting to worship with them!  Paige and I worked the green room so Karis and Ella got to "meet the band!"

Youth small group paint party/sleepover was a blast!  We ate junk food, had a devotional, danced, ate and slept very little (not that I would know I went home around midnight ha!!)
