Karis' cheer competition

Karis had her first cheerleading competition tonight.  They had to do 2 cheers and a dance and they have worked soooo hard these past few weeks practicing.  They had practice 4 times this week just to prepare.  She was very excited about it but very nervous too.  She said when she got there she was shaking all over. Their names were drawn out of a hat who went first out of about 30 squads and Karis' squad was chosen FIRST AHHH!  I was nervous for her but glad to have her part over with early on in the night.

She had a special part at the end...did a few cartwheels and ended the show with a bang. She did so great!!!  I was so proud of her!

Karis' squad won 4th place and she was very proud to receive her trophy!  Way to go Steelers!!!

It has been a great season! 

Karis' last season cheerleading game

This afternoon was Karis' last season game for cheerleading.  It was a busy day for her (and us) actually because she had practice at 10:15 this morning, game at 2:00 and cheer competition tonight at 7:00.

I so enjoy watching my children in their activities, however after the busy Fall we have had, I look forward to a break in our schedules!  Karis did such a great job this year!

Busy Saturday with a wonderful ending!

After my fun Friday night all to myself, Saturday had arrived and it was a busy one.

 I started off the day heading to Brayden's last soccer game where Lolli met me with the kiddos.  Brayden did well playing against one of his buddies' Michael and although Brayden's team lost (4-2) Brayden scored one of the 2 goals. Thankful for a good season but glad for a breather!

Then we left the game, went to Chick-fil-a for lunch and then went to the park for a little playtime with my babies since it was gorgeous outside. I missed my babies!

Then since the park was right around the corner from Story's house and Lucy hadn't seen Story since her surgery, we stopped for a while.  We got lots of snuggles and there were lots of girly giggles when we surprised Story. :)

Then we went straight to Karis' cheerleading practice and a storm was rolling in.  The clouds were dark and gorgeous and the sun still shining...beautiful.

Then we drove over to Sonic for a quick dinner before we headed to the airport to pick up daddy...

Then my favorite part of the day....waiting on daddy to arrive from Africa after a long 9 days without him!  This momma was PUMPED! I missed him soooo bad!

One COLD game!

Thank goodness Brayden's game was rescheduled because a 9:00 a.m. game would have been FREEZING!  However even still Karis' 12 pm and 2 pm game were still cold even with coats and blankets.  It would have been ok however the wind was what made it seem colder than it was.   BUT we got to see my girl cheer so it was ok and Lolli got to come too!

We all got hot chocolate!

Brayden even had him a tent set up to stay warm...
