Walk down memory lane....

Today we took a walk down memory lane...through our old stomping grounds.  It has been a long time since we have been out here...a lot of water under the bridge.  We have been around the world and back!

Last days of school

I was honored to go to Karis' program once again for getting straight A's!  We are so proud of her for getting A's all year and working so hard.  These were the kids in her class that got straight A's...

Honor roll included...

Look at all those stars! She has gotten a star every time (either for Honor Roll or Principal's Honor Roll)!

Brayden got his last Kindergarten report card and we were so proud of his accomplishments too!  He did great and his reading level skyrocketed this 9 weeks!

After Karis awards ceremony, I checked her out and she went to her best friends' house to hang out!

Pics Karis took of her buddies for me on the last week of school...

Somebody was excited that school was out!

We were blessed with great teachers this year for both Karis and Brayden!  SO grateful for the time, energy and love they showed our kids throughout the year!

A tooth, a story, a special sticker, and a program

Brayden came home from school on Thursday with a special sticker on his shirt which says, "According to my principal, I'm Terrific!"  He got it for reading a story that he wrote on the intercom for the whole school to hear.  Karis said he did so good and I was SOOO proud of him.  He gets embarrassed easily and I am kinda surprised he did it!

His story he read was a story he wrote called how to make a tent...

Then he pulled his second tooth by himself and was so proud of himself!

Karis had a program at school on Friday and since Lucy had been sick, I decided to stay home with her and let Jay go and take pics for me.

Karis made this the other day in her room out of paper...so creative!

Just living life

I LOVE girls night and we don't get them often enough!  So thankful for these church ladies and the relationships I have with each of them.

Brayden and Karis have both done great in school again this 9 weeks and we are so proud of them!  As proud as I am of his grades, I am even more proud of his CHARACTER!  Praying it continues to develop and he learns to love people as Jesus does!

SO proud of my girl and how hard she works at school getting straight A's again!  Those stars are adding up!!!

Last Sunday Jay preached somewhere else and Karis and Lucy were both spending the night with someone so Brayden had Eli over to spend the night.  Before church I took these two hot dates to get donuts before church.  :)

Jay posted this last week on his IG and it is such a dose of reality I had to share it!

When Lucy went to Lolli's for a few days last weekend, my daddy (Lucy's favorite person of all time!) took her out on a date to Chick-fil-a.  So thankful for them and how they invest in my children.  Lucy LOVED it!  Thanks Pop!

Been contemplating this alot lately and trying to live life/parent with this in mind.  I want to teach them to be independent, learn that it is ok to make mistakes and learn from them and to allow them to learn from the Bible on their own.  After all, they will be accountable for their own actions.  It's never too early to learn!

Our weekend

Our plans for the weekend quickly got cancelled when I got a call at about 1:00 Friday afternoon that Brayden had 101.4 temp at school.  WHAT?!  Poor thing he just had this 2 weeks ago...poor guy!  I decided to go ahead and take him to the doctor because he had been exposed to strep and flu this week so I wanted to rule out the "bad ones" and see if any meds were needed.  Again, he tested negative for strep and flu however they treated with Tamiflu (again) because he has asthma.  Luckily his asthma never got bad he has only used his machine once.  But he was PITIFUL like wouldn't lift his head up off my lap or a pillow for hours.   I felt so bad for him!

Friday night while Jay stayed with Brayden, me and the girls went grocery shopping and to get Brayden's prescription.  Lucy got dressed by herself and posed for Jay to take a picture.  When he showed her the pic, she said, "Ooooh.  I'm sassy!"  Haha!

Karis helped me unload the toilet paper haha!

Saturday we made a big breakfast and then the kids decided they wanted to "craft."  They wanted to sew by hand and Lucy made this (whatever it is) for Story.  She cut on this for 20 minutes....

Brayden sewed on this for his buddy Eli....

Saturday I got my hair cut/colored for the first time in 6 months and it was LONG overdue.  Like my new do?!?!

Lolli also came over Saturday night because Brayden wanted to see her.  That's all she had to hear and she was burning rubber to get here.  Thankful for her!

Convicting...I turned off facebook on my phone so I won't be tempted to check it as much.

Brayden got his progress report this week and I forgot to post it.  He is doing WONDERFULLY!

Karis is also doing GREAT!

Thankful to be able to pick out little nuggets from the dry book of Leviticus!

Thankful that if we are obedient, God not only provides but provides ABUNDANTLY!  For the Israelites, God told them they would eat, be satisfied, and live securely in the land.

It is comforting to know that God puts His residence IN us and He will NOT reject us.

Today the girls and I went to church and then had a meeting.  When we got home I went to run while the kids played on the playground.  Then I chilled while they played a while longer.  Poor Brayden just had to get out of the house.  He is still occasionally running a fever and just hasn't eaten much for 3 days now so he is still really weak.

Tonight I made a homemade chicken noodle soup I got from my friend Audrey after she posted it a few weeks back. It looked yummy and she was sweet to share the recipe.  It was a HIT and the kids loved it!  Karis even cleaned her bowl! Excuse our plastic ware haha!  It's the norm around here.

Good weekend even with all of our plans being changed due to sickness again.  Maybe God is trying to slow us down and I am ok with that.  Hoping for well kids once again.
