Fall morning???

It was absolutely gorgeous this morning...cool temperatures and even a breeze, so we spent 4+ hours out this morning and decided to venture out a bit with 4 kids in tow. They were of course up for the adventure so out we went!

We went on a nature hunt to see what all we could find.  Trey found lots of acorns...

And Brayden found a very large green yellow leaf....FALL is in the air!  Yah!

Brayden also found 2 frogs!  Maybe it was the cowboy boots that brought him luck.  Except of course we don't believe in luck, but they sure did make him look cool.

Lucy attempted to get the frogs out...

Not sure what she saw but something was getting all her attention!

Look at those blue eyes...

We played on the playground....

Played tether ball...

And then we went down to the campfire site....with...the...double...stroller...with....2 kids...strapped in.  WHOO!  Not too sure what I was thinking but going down wasn't so tough but coming back up....different story!  But it was fun while it lasted!

Yah!  We made it!

The boys walked logs...

...while Lucy stopped by the lake to eat her fish goldfish!

We threw sticks in the lake to see who could make the biggest splash...

Sweet Landon...

Then we panted back to the house and jumped on the trampoline and rode bikes.  I was trying to wear 'em out! LOL

She was playing peek-a-boo.  "Where's Lucy?"

Oh and did I mention that I am so ready for this in the coming weeks....

Bring on cooler weather, changing leaves, and college football!!!

"Helping" wash the car...

Tonight I had some "help" washing my car...and I use that term very loosely.  I love it how everyone says they will help until it's game time and no one is to be found!!  haha

Instead they did a marvelous job of watering my grass (and each other)!

He was being a fire fighter here...

Lucy was helping until she got water sprayed on her (like a few drops) and some soap on her hand and you would have thought we were torturing her!  It wasn't too much longer she went in for a bath and to bed at 6:30 and she went right to sleep!  She was exhausted!!!

After we washed and vacuumed out the car, Karis, Brayden and I went on a bike ride.  I haven't done that in years and tomorrow my rear end will not thank me!  The kids were shocked I knew how to ride a bike without training wheels LOL!  After that we all came in and showered and I sat my sore rear end on the couch and called it a day.  The end.

Boys vs. Girls....

Boys will be boys...

And girls will be girls!!!
