Camp continued...

Well camp is officially over and we are all very tired, but very sad it is over. My kids aren't going to know what to do! They wake up (in the morning and after naps) wanting to go down to the camp. They both were very sad today when it ended. We met some great people and many heard the gospel and several kids were saved.

Karis and her best buddy Brittany. Brayden also loved Brittany and one day said, "Brittany is my best girl!"

My 2 favorite men
Until next year...sniff, sniff.

Isn't it too early for this?

I woke up to a screaming baby this morning at 5 a.m. and she rarely wakes up this early. Lucy wouldn't go back to sleep so I got up to go ahead and feed her (I normally feed her around 6). I found her ON HER BACK! She had rolled over in her bed and couldn't go back to sleep. She is only 2 months old! Isn't it too early for this already???

YIKES!

When Brayden wanted handcuffs I knew at some point they would be used illegally. I came around the corner the other day and Karis had obviously been using her brother's new toy. Her poor American Girl doll was having a terrible, horrible, no good VERY bad day!

Girls Night Out!

We had girls night out last night and it was much needed!!! We ate at Kyoto which is one of my favorite restaurants and then went back to the church for coffee and dessert (definitely one of my favs!). There were over 20 ladies there and it was great to get to chat without having to take care of children (although Lucy went but was no problem). In fact her and Jake got passed around all night and were quite spoiled by the end of the night. :) Lucy and Jake had their first date...but it was supervised of course because she isn't 30 yet! haha

Some pics of the ladies while at Kyoto

Thanks ladies for a MA-VA-LOUS evening!

Old friends....good times!

Old friends...aren't they the best? My buddy Michelle and I go way back and we love it when we get to visit with one another. Remember THIS POST? Michelle visited in early May right before I had Lucy and so she got to meet her today and she brought her mom with her. It was wonderful as always to get to catch up...she is after all one of my closest friends. I wish we got to see each other more!

This was of course last visit in early May. I was WAY preggo...

And now....2 months later.

Aiden is an only child (so far). Michelle was holding Lucy like this and Mr. Aiden got really jealous. He started pulling Michelle's hand to get up so Michelle gave Lucy to her mom and then Aiden crawled up in her lap just like Lucy was laying. We were busy talking and didn't notice until he was already in position. Haha!

Mrs. Marina (Michelle's mom) and Lucy...she was like a second mom to me growing up.

Missions Camp

We have been MIA the past few days but the fun has not been lacking. Jay is hosting his Missions Camp on our property that he has every July so we have been busy hanging out with the kids. My kids LOVE camp and would spend the night down there if we would let them. They make friends, get to participate in all their activities, and just have an incredible time! Lucy just "hung out" with us but next year she will be all up in the mix!

Missions moments

Brayden learning songs with the big kids...

Getting ready to hammer...he loved these goggles. For some reason he has a serious ob-ses-sion with them!

His friend "Emilik" (Malik) helping him make a "craft"

Karis during craft time....painting a bird house...

Game time at night...one of their favorite times of the week!

And Brayden has some big boys to play ball with....

The fire trucks came and they thought it was so cool!

Karis' buddy Brittany helping her make a glow in the dark necklace...

Daddy the griller

Funny story...I saw Jaime walking down the sidewalk with Brayden like this and I thought, "Awww...that is so sweet! I have to take a picture of that." BUT looks are deceiving...he had gotten paint all over his hand and he was holding Brayden's hand so he wouldn't get paint everywhere. Ha!

We celebrated Mrs. Brenda's birthday....

Brayden hangin' out...

And lots of time at the pool...

Today starts the 3rd and last camp and lasts until Sunday. We will have more adventures, pictures and posts coming soon...

Lucy is 2 months old today!!!

Today my baby turns 2 months old! She is growing so quickly and it makes me so sad! She is the best baby ever and such a delight!

Lucy, at 2 months old, you...
  • weigh 11 lbs. 8 oz. and are in the 68% for weight
  • are 22 1/2 in. long and are in the 65% for height
  • sleep at night from 10-6 (or longer)
  • eat every 3-4 hours during the day
  • sleep on your stomach and sometimes just want to be put down so you can sleep
  • love to swing (especially in the mornings)
  • smile often and it is precious
  • follow us with your eyes
  • haven't laughed out loud yet but are really close
  • love to sleep on daddy's chest
  • have had your first cold
  • enjoy bathtime
  • wear size 2 diapers (and have since you left the hospital)
  • get the hiccups almost every night
  • have not had formula (except at night in the nursery when you were born)
  • eat from a bottle about once a week

2 month checkup today...11 lbs. 8 oz. (68%) and 22 1/2 inches long (65%)

And those dreaded first shots...not fun!
Doc says we have a VERY healthy baby on our hands!

Here she is hangin' out with Uncle Matt and Aunt Tiffany

As you know, Lucy came out with a head full of hair and we could put a rubber band in it the day she was born. She even has a mullett in the back! SO I have been counting down the days to give her a hair cut at 2 months old. So today was the day! Check out this mullett...

The haircut...

Remember this mullett?

Mullett no more...we cut over an inch off! Of course I saved it and put it in her baby book.
UPDATE: Did I mention she was a great baby? Last night I fed her at 9 p.m. and I had to wake her up at 8 a.m. this morning! She normally sleeps 8 hours at night but last night slept 11 hours!!! And yes she was perfectly happy and healthy...just grinning away!
