Lucy's first dips in the pool...

Lucy got her first dip in the pool this week and has been in several times since. She never likes the shock of the water the first few seconds but then loves it after that!

WHOA! Wild hair....

Not so sure she liked it this day...

This girl already knows how to relax...

Happy Father's Day...

...to the wonderful men in my life because they are so deserving!

Pap and Pop-Pop I want to thank you for being fathers to Jay because he wouldn't be who he is today without you both.  You are both very special to me because of what you have done for my sweet husband.

Dad, I want you to know how much I appreciate you.  You have been a wonderful role model to me and the boys growing up and I am so thankful to have found a husband that resembles character traits like you.  You have been a spiritual leader and have always given us the respect, love and attention that we needed to grow and thrive.  You have always made us feel special and no matter how old I get I will always be a daddy's girl!

Jay I am so proud of you and the father that you are to our THREE children.  You have been such a great father that has always been available to whatever the kids need.  You love our kids unconditionally and have such a neat relationship with each of them.  You have loved on them, taught them, showed them what a godly father should look like, disciplined them, and so much more.  I am thankful they have a great role model to follow and hope that Karis is able to someday find a future mate that is half as wonderful as her daddy.  Thank you Jay for all that you do for me and for them and know that we appreciate you so very much.  We love you!

Father's Day 2009

This morning we all got up and got ready for church and fixed breakfast for Jay.  Lucy wore her new dress from Aunt Valerie...isn't this a great pic of them?

After church we went to lunch and headed to the pool.

Val and Brayden

After the pool we came home to get ready for dinner.  We let Pap and Jay open their Father's Day gifts.  The kids "helped" them open the gifts.  We gave Pap a framed pic of Pap, Jay, Valerie and the kids.

Jay got a pair of tennis shoes he has been wanting...
We grilled out chicken tonight and enjoyed a WONDERFUL dessert that Aunt Valerie made for us...of course with lots of coffee since we are all huge coffee drinkers!  :)  It has been a great day!

Valerie is here!

Jay's sister Valerie flew in today from North Carolina and we were so excited to see her! We don't get to see her that often and Karis hasn't seen her since she was 1. Brayden was thrilled about meeting Aunt Valerie too! When Pap and Roxy showed up this morning, the kids wanted to "scare" them...hence the picture below...wouldn't you be...scared that is???

Pap and Roxy with Lucy

Pap has played umpteen hours of ball with Brayden...he is probably so worn out! Brayden would play ball from sun up to sun down if we would let him!

Karis joining in on the fun...

Daddy trying to show Karis how to bat..

I have no idea what he was doing here...but couldn't just kiss those cute cheeks??

Jay and the kids with his sis Valerie and their dad Larry

Valerie came bearing gifts for the kids. She brought Karis a beautiful necklace and she is excited as you can tell...

Valerie was doing nails with Karis and daddy came in. So YES he let her paint his toenails BLUE! What a great sport of a dad!

She got Lucy this beautiful pink Feltman and she wore it to church this morning. It is a 6 month size and YES she wore it to church this morning...she is such a porker!

And Brayden got legos...he loved them!

We went to Kyoto for dinner...it was so fun and delicious!

This is how Brayden spent most of the dinner....he said the "cooker" was too loud!

Yah Pap and Roxy are here!

Jay's dad and his girlfriend Roxanne (we call her Roxy) drove up from Orlando, FL yesterday to visit us for the week and we had a fabulous day visiting with them.  We haven't seen Pap in 2 years since Brayden was 1 so the kids had obviously changed quite a bit!  And Pap got to meet Lucy for the first time!

Karis and Brayden waited by the window most of the morning waiting on them to get here...

Table talk...getting to know one another :)

Pap and Roxy came bearing lots of gifts and the kids were so excited! It was like Christmas morning!!!  Karis got this baby pool doll that she was so excited about...she gets to take in the pool and bathtub!
Fun day...looking forward to tomorrow.  Jay's sister Valerie is flying in from North Carolina tomorrow so we are anticipating her arrival.  I am sure (ok I KNOW) there will be pictures of our time together...so stay tuned!

HOT swim day

It was BLAZING hot today (felt like 110) so the pool was the only option other than staying inside.  As long as we staying in the shade or the water, we were good.  Lucy slept through the whole day in the shade other than when I was feeding her.  As you can tell, she doesn't miss a meal!

Jack was loving the water this year!  He is not the baby of the group any more!

My kids were loving Drew and Kendall's goggles as you will be able to tell.  Brayden especially was attached to them and was jumping in like a mad man with them on.

Kendall cheesin'...

My big girl

These sure do look inviting.  Too bad he was NOT allowed to play in them...but he sure wanted to!

Lovin' the sun...

I think the goggles are bigger than his face!

The Morris kids

The girls catchin' some rays...

Big Jack

I don't think they are going under with all this garb...
Fun, HOT day in the sun...but nevertheless, a blast as always!  I think we will do it again tomorrow!
