Thanksgiving years past

I was looking back at the past several years Thanksgivings and found these pics on my blog.  I have some from the prior years but don't want to go hunt them down right now.  #345 I love blogging...all the record I need right here where I can find it and don't have to go search CD's or scan pictures.  I wish I had started blogging when Karis was born I would have lots more easily accessible pics.  So for those of you just starting a family....start blogging NOW!  You won't regret it...especially when it comes to family memories!

Looking forward to this Thanksgiving! I look so forward to seeing family we only get to see this time of year and for the wonderful food!!!

Where's Waldo?

Where's Waldo Brayden?  Look closer...

He has decided today that he loves to climb this tree to the very top.  I have looked out multiple times today to see him climbing up and down, up and down, up and down!

Then he will ride his bike for 2.5 seconds and then back up the tree!  I wonder if he could fit a deer stand in that tree haha!

I guess it is part of living out in the "boondox"...enjoying the country life!

Mundane Monday

I posted this pic of Brayden on Sunday's blog from Christmas 2008.  I was taking some pics of the kids this past Sunday before church (posted below) and then realized that Brayden and Lucy look about the same size.  EXCEPT Brayden was 2 1/2 here and Lucy is 18 months!  There is a whole year's difference in their ages!  Lucy has always been my tall child...it seems it is still the case.

 

I couldn't get Lucy to cooperate so this was as good as it gets...

Monday seems to be one of those days where I just catch up from the weekend.  It seems so mundane....laundry, dishes, straighten, straighten, straighten and then more laundry.  But it is only a 2 day work week and then we get to see family from out of town which I am soooo excited about!

This afternoon Brayden was eating some pudding and Lucy got a hold of the top that he left on the table.  It was up her nose!  I think she enjoyed it!

Karis came home from school today with her progress report in her backpack.  She got all S's and the comment at the bottom says, "Keep up the good work!"  Yah Karis!

Lucy was glad to see Karis this afternoon and was showering her with hugs and kisses!

Mundane Monday is over...maybe tomorrow will have something more exciting in store!

Park Bike Ride

This afternoon, while daddy was hunting, we decide to get out in the 65-70 degree weather and go to the park.  The kids have been wanting to take their bikes for some time now and there just hasn't been a good time to go.  But today was the day!!!

We enjoyed riding bikes along the trails...

And Karis took Lucy along for every step on the playground.  It was so sweet!

Brayden spent most of his time riding his bike and hanging out by the lake.

We met some people at the park and they just happened to have brought their fishing poles.  They offered to let B fish and he jumped right on that!  The sunset was beautiful and I love these silhouette pictures of him by the lake...

This picture is so pretty it looks fake.  The sunset was reflecting over the water...

The granddad that we met was helping Brayden put a cricket on his hook.  This is the sweetest picture...I think I have seen one like this on a card!

It was such a great trip to the park!  Beautiful weather, fun memories with the kids, new friends, conversations about the Lord and a gorgeous sunset!  What more could you ask for?!
