Pamukhale, a natural spring, and Laodiceia

Today we went to several really cool places within a couple of hours drive from our house.  It was a day full of fun!
This is a place translated "cotton".  It is a natural hot spring and is BEAUTIFUL!  The kids and I took off our shoes and waded in it for hours.

We also toured several Biblical sites and one of the 7 churches.  It was amazing.

This is a tomb that was recently discovered that was one of Jesus' disciples.

I think we counted 9 brides we saw that day.  Lucy got her picture taken with at least two...

And this is an unexcavated Biblical site called Colossae, where the book of Colossians was written to.

From the top Jay read to them from scripture what actually took place in this relative location.  It was really special.  The kids probably won't truly appreciate it until they are older and realize the benefit of living on this side of the world.

Everyday Life

We have met some very precious neighbors that have been so kind to open up their homes to us, help us in any way they can, and be friends to us.  Thankful for every cup of chai and coffee.

In our free time we have been crafty.  We love to craft especially during the holidays!

Lucy sure is proud when she finishes one of her English school books!

School on top of the table?  Why not?!  Its the beauty of homeschool!

Jay is sharing good news with his barber.

Brayden playing soccer with some neighborhood boys...

We have had our share of sniffles, coughs and fevers so far this Fall.

We even got to hang with "Flat Stanley" for a weekend!

"Coffee plunger"???? GROSS!

Some days you pick your battles and when you don't have time to cook dinner and there is homemade cookie dough in the frig, you embrace it and have cookies for dinner!!!  The kids loved it and no it doesn't happen often.

Love the fall colors….

Love the times of day when I get to pick this sweet one up from school!

Lucy was in awe when she saw this real life princess!

She loves her baby doll and will be such a good little momma someday!

Boys will be boys right?!

We enjoyed an afternoon out at a park near our house.  The trees and scenery were gorgeous!

We found sweet potatoes in our city!!!!!!!!

My sweet new language teacher told us this week that she is getting married!
