Karis' first gymnastics competition....

Today Karis had her very first gymnastics competition.  It was a real competition but not a hard-core...just getting the kids ready for competition team next year.  It was a great way to show them what it would be like.  They got scores by real judges and had to perform 4 routines: bar, floor, beam and vault.

This little cutie tagged along with me while daddy went to Brayden's first t-ball practice...and she was great.  We had to be there at 9:15 and didn't leave until 2:30.  She was great considering she missed lunch and it was passed her naptime.

Oh it was bad lighting and we couldn't use a flash so the pics are very grainy but it's the best I could do.

Karis has looked forward to this all week.  She even got glitter in her hair haha!

Stretching....

My sweet gymnast!

There were several gyms there and so they mixed all the girls up and put them in three teams....red, white and blue.  Karis was on the blue team.

Karis is one of two 6 years olds on her team and the rest are 8 or over.  She had never been to or seen a competition and she was the very first one to go of anybody there.  This momma was about to go crazy...my heart was pounding out of my chest!  She was so nervous and so was momma!

Floor routine....

Vault...

Bars...

Beam....

Waiting for awards...

I can't remember exactly and we haven't gotten our score cards back yet, but I think she placed 3rd in bars, 4th on beam, and 5th on floor and vault.  She came home with like 6 ribbons and a medal...she was so proud!

Her team placed 2nd overall.

I got her some flowers and she was so proud to get them.  She loved the competition and looks forward to doing it again.

We are so proud of you Karis!  We love you very much!

Fun Friday

First of all, NO April Fool's Jokes from me...I am not a fan of them!

And HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my in-laws Kevin and Cindy (Nonnie and Pop-Pop) because today they celebrate 28 years of marriage!  Congrats and we love you guys!  Hope yall got to celebrate together today!

Today we are thankful for the sunshine and the almost warm temps (supposed to be 70 today) and the fact that we were able to get out of the house a little bit.

This morning, Brayden was "reading" to the kiddos....

Landon thinks if he closes his eyes, you can't see him haha!

Strolling anyone?  This is a favorite toy by all, inside or outside.

We have a new friend that has spent a few days with us.  This is Cadence and she is 3.  Lucy is thankful to have a friend that is a girl...for so long she has been around all boys during the day.  They like to play with all things girly...high heels and all!

Brayden is still sleeping, eating, and breathing baseball.  Jay says he is obsessed!  Jay and I both played baseball with him this morning although daddy does a much better job than mom.  :)

I used MckMama's trick...I told them there was a butterfly inside my camera.  They were intrigued and looked intently!

Trey said he saw it...that's news to me haha!

Uhoh... Annie's Lucy's got a gun....

Nothing but blue skies....love it!

Tonight the kids had Parents Night Out at gymnastics and had a ball!  They got to play games including a rock climbing wall and had pizza too.  Karis and Brayden stayed and Jay, Lucy and I ran some much needed errands and picked them back up.  After hours, they still weren't ready to come home!

Looking forward to a fun-filled, beautiful weather weekend!
