Thursday Fun day

Beautiful weather + 6 eager kiddos = A fun day outside!

Ax's new fav is cars and trucks...

Poor Lucy has to wear all the pink she can around all these boys!  She is far outnumbered! :)

Eli and his trucks...best buds!

The boys are all very sweet to Lucy

Best buds

Pet of the day was a crazy haired caterpillar found by Trey.  It is on his hand if you look closely.  When I showed him this picture on my camera, he replied, "You need to put that picture on facebook!"  I was laughing so hard!

Waiting in line for the slide...

Do you see "Hairy?"

I love this one...they found a convertible for "Hairy!"

Fall is here!  On our property (lots of land and trees) there are already leaves on the ground everywhere!  I love the beautiful colors of the leaves!

Sweet picture...He may put gray hairs on my head, but I love that boy!

My best attempt at all 3 little ones....sigh.  Oh well.

"Lub oooo"

That's right...this sweet baby said, "I love you" tonight (multiple times) although it really sounded like "lub oooo."  I was putting her to bed and she was telling daddy and Brayden goodnight and she said it.  I couldn't believe it so I tried to get her to say it again.  She then said it several times grinning, knowing she had done something good!  It melts my heart!

She also seems to be mildly obsessed with this...

I spent most of the day buried under laundry and I am still not finished.  I am trying to organize clothes/closets and getting ready for season change and getting rid of summer stuff.  Whew!  I am loving this cooler weather so tonight I made a homemade chicken noodle soup and I must say, it was yummy!

Karis got back from gymnastics tonight and Jay had checked the mail and there was a package for her birthday from Nonnie and Pop-Pop.  Nonnie is actually on a mission trip right now to India (please pray for safety and opportunities to share their faith) and they weren't able to come to K bday party.  She was sooo excited to open it!

She loved her new "purse."  It says her name "Karis Taylor" on it.

The card says, "Happy Birthday Karis.  Love Pop-Pop, Cindy and Jessica."

Then she started hammin' it up and modeling for us haha!

Karis is going on a field trip to the zoo tomorrow and she is SOOOO pumped.  She and I had the best time just talking about it tonight and she was being so precise and telling me every detail of directions her teacher told her.  It was so funny.  I have a feeling she will be up at the crack of dawn in the morning ready to go!

Houston, we have a problem!

Brayden's soccer game

Today Lucy found some shoes in her drawer (that are too big) but she instantly became attached to them and wanted to wear them all day.  They kept coming off but she just wanted them back on...and on...and on.  I am afraid she might be addicted to shoes...already.

Brayden normally has soccer games on Saturdays but they changed this week's game to tonight due to a wedding this Saturday at the soccer location.  Brayden was so excited but honestly I think he like the "idea" of soccer better than actually playing.  He likes it but gets distracted very easily.  We had to (multiple times) say, "Brayden!  Watch the ball....wrong way...don't use your hands....listen to your coach!"  I guess that is normal for 4 year olds?!

Karis brought her coloring stuff as always...

Lucy just hung out...she loves all the action.

Who knows?!  What in the world was he doing?!  And yes...it was during the game.  He looks like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz haha!

He did score a goal though!!!  Go B!

Giving his coach a high five after he scored...

Lucy has really started wanting to really play with Karis as she has gotten older.  And Karis has been so sweet and patient with her.  Karis has for a long time wanted Lucy to play with her and I think now she is loving every minute of it...hoping it doesn't get old!

Coloring with sissy...

Sharing her lollipop with daddy...

Brayden loves to be goalie.  But tonight at one point I had to tell him to unwind himself from the net so he could actually do his job as goalie!  He looked like a spider tangled up in it's own web!!!

-------------------------------------
In Karis' class, they have a birthday bag they bring home on their birthday.  It contains a birthday book and a birthday journal.  Each student fills one of these out for their birthday.

It reads...
"Happy Birthday to Karis.  Today is my birthday!  I am 6 years old.  To celebrate my birthday, I will...Go to Chick-a (Chick-fil-a) with my family to eat and play."

Yep, that's my man.

Jay would not want me to post this; however there are few times when I just brag on my incredible, Godly husband.  He is wonderful to me and the kids and I could go on and on about him.  But I think I will let these words speak for themselves.  This is an excerpt from an article in our Association magazine.  My husband's boss Wade, the Director of Missions, has resigned to take a church position and in the magazine gives his story and his thanks to many for their service to him, his family and our Association.  This is what he writes about my husband....
"Then there is Jay Lemonds; humble, helpful, loving, hard working, patient, wise, insightful, honest, uncompromising, and Spirit filled; a great leader.  He leads his family with dignity and compassion.  He has served you as my associate director for over five years now, and has an unblemished track record of service and Christ likeness.   A man of whom few are worthy.  I could have had no better.  To work with Jay is to watch and hear the Lord living in a man.  He is a leader of the New Testament variety.  I am confident that he has been well trained and can do anything at the associational level that needs to be done.  He is unquestionably qualified to lead, and has the heart of a missionary.  In the past five years he has become a leader of men.  To know him is to trust him."
I couldn't agree with this more and it humbles me that the Lord gave me such a wonderful man to share life with.  I love you Jay and am blessed to be your wife.

Karis' 6th birthday!

Here is K before school started this morning sporting her birthday girl shirt....

Jay and I went to eat lunch with her at school and brought her Subway and cupcakes for her class.
I love this picture of Jay and Karis!

My bday girl...

At lunch her teacher asked her to stand up on her seat so the class could sing "Happy Birthday" to her.  She did it reluctantly and by the end her face was SOOO red!

I didn't want to include other children from her class but wanted you to see them singing to her...

Notice how red her face is..

She wanted hot pink and purple cupcakes for her class to eat so that is what I ordered.  BUT they were REALLY bright and the icing stained!  Check out her teeth...
There were several kids in her class that were wearing icing from their nose to chin and ear to ear.  I am sure her teacher was NOT too happy with us haha!  We always enjoy seeing her in her environment and talking with all her friends.  When we walked in with those cupcakes today, all her friends looked at us like we were superstars!  Their mouths were watering as they stared the cupcakes down!

Tonight she skipped gymnastics and we gave her the option to eat wherever she wanted.  She at first picked McDonalds and we talked her in to Chick-fil-a.  Of all the places she could choose from....McD's???  Jay says he will have to introduce her to some Texas de Brazil ha!  Anyway we ended up at Chick-fil-a and ate and let the kids play for a while.  Lucy played on the indoor playground for the first time ever (at almost 17 months old) and she toddled around like she was one of the big kids.  Karis followed behind her and helped her and she went all the way to the top and down the big slide multiple times.  I didn't know what to do...having all three kids there with us and being able to just sit and chat with my husband!  It was great!
(Pic quality not so great...took with my iPhone)

Overall it was a wonderful day!  I can't believe my baby is SIX!
