The Lord has moved us home long term so we have decided to go back to Turkey to close up our home and say goodbye to our friends.
The kids really wanted to go back with us but it was really expensive so we decided to leave them with grandparents and for Jay and I to go alone. It was a bittersweet trip for sure.
We have missed chai for sure!
Breakfast borek in Antalya!
It was really hard day to walk back into our apartment and see things the way we left them. It was especially hard to walk into the girls' room and see the toys still set up like they had just played with them the day before. Jay and I both had a good cry (sob) and then we were down to business. We had one week to bag everything up we wanted to bring home and pack in suitcases and then sell everything else. It was a FULL week!
After we sold our furniture to our friends, we put everything that was left and put it in one room. We called our refuge friends and they came and took everything else. They literally put everything in boxes and took home...except ONE thing....a Bible in Arabic. It made our hearts so sad that they wanted things of this world over the one thing that could give them life!
We met up with our friend Esra!
It is moving out day....the truck pulled in to take away our furniture and we closed up all the electric, water, cable, internet etc.
A gift from our neighbor....
Saying goodbye to our neighbors and pulling away for the last time....tears were shed!
Jay and I were able to spend a few days at the beach before our flight home....
Headed back home to see our babies!!!!
We arrived home with TWELVE of our suitcases!
