Blogging Hiatus

As you can see, I was a little late on posting about Christmas and am taking some time off this week to spend time with the family.  No worries, next week I will play catch up and you will be tired from all the pictures!   But in the mean time, this is just a view we saw earlier this week that I thought I would share with you!

Christmas with Lolli and Pop

After our wonderful Christmas morning at home, Lolli and Pop came over and we ate lunch (ham, green bean casserole, dirty rice and rolls) and then the kids were eager to open their gifts from Lolli and Pop!

Their very own money banks that calculate change...

A monster truck that pops up!

A Justin Bieber concert kit...look at that grin on her face!

Drumsticks

A DSi case for her DSi

Hot wheels for his Criss Cross Crash

Doodle Dolls book

Another game for her DSi

I'll let this speak for itself...haha

A Razor scooter

A peace jacket (cause all the teenagers wear them she says)

Lucy got some play-doh

Color wonder

A recordable book recorded by Lolli...when she opened it up and it started reading I said, Lucy who is it???  She pointed to Lolli it was so cute!

It is a little cake and the candles light up and then it tells you to blow them out and then claps for you.  She loved this!

What a wonderful day to celebrate our Lord's birth with family!  So thankful that the Lord came in order to give up his life for me.  If only we could truly grasp the magnitude of the sacrifice made for us!

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

The kids slept in until 7 but were quick to wake up and were ready for all the festivities of the day.  We began our morning by reading the Christmas story together from Luke 2 and prayed together.

The kiddos Christmas 2010 (Karis-6, Brayden-4, and Lucy-19 months)

Karis wanted to start by checking out the stockings and we did so one at a time.

Then we began opening presents one at a time (it makes it last longer and I love for everyone to have their special moment).

Lucy got bath crayons....

Brayden got a nerf basketball goal...

Lucy got a play purse with some keys, lipstick, mirror, and fake money...

Brayden got a motorcycle...

Karis got some art supplies...

Lucy got a baby alive and she LOVED it!

Brayden got Criss Cross Crash and it was his favorite of the year...

Karis and Brayden both got DSi's and they opened them at the same time.

Then they all got pillow pets...another favorite of the year!

Our living room looked like a tornado came through!

Oh I forgot Karis got some Justin Bieber stuff...she thinks she likes him although she doesn't even know but one song he sings....haha!  I remember when I was her age I loved New Kids On The Block!

It wasn't a white Christmas by any means but it did flurry and it was so neat!

We watched the Christmas parade...another fav tradition.

Then we spent some time playing with our new toys while we waited on Lolli and Pop to come over!
