Sunday we drove to Corinth where Jay's family is from to spend the day with them. Jay was preaching at his grandmother Lucy's home church an dit was such a special day. He did a talk during Sunday School and then preached the a.m. service and his mom sang 2 songs in the service. Nonnie has an A-MAZ-ING singing voice and it was neat that it was a family affair. I am sure Grandmother Lucy was ecstatic and proud of her family. She should be. :)
I know I am biased but yall, I have one amazing husband. For real. He did such an amazing job and several afterwards were even saying it was the most challenging message they had ever heard. It was God's message of course but the Lord allowed it to come through my husband's lips. He is such a man of God and what blesses my heart more than anything is that he is 100% real. He preaches what is in his heart, not just what sounds good or will be popular or get a good response. He is not afraid to speak truth and it is so challenging and inspiring. Enough said but I am ONE. LUCKY. GAL! And he is handsome too. :)
Karis and Brayden went outside in Grandmother's backyard and picked all the ladies in the family flowers. How sweet. :)
Grandmother Lucy who will be 80 this summer. SOOO doesn't look 80...she is still sty-ling!
Karis made this little girl out of scraps she found in the yard. She is so creative!
Pop-Pop, you better sleep with one eye open around here. Oh wait, you already did ha!
Nonnie getting her Lucy snuggles!
You have all seen this broom trick hoax going around facebook this week. I did try it just cause I was curious but never got it to work. But he did....
And so did she....
It was a great day with the family and ended too quickly. Unfortunately our transmission went out in our van on the way home and we were able to get it home, but had it to have it towed the next day. :( Poo!
